CJSC NOVINTECH is a comprehensive contractor providing automation, protection, metering, communication, and safety systems for energy facilities. Since its foundation (2005), the Company has implemented dozens of projects involving solutions of this kind.

Since 2009, NOVINTECH has been a member of Russian Engineering Union, the All-Russian Industrial Association of Employers. In May 2011, the participants of the Union congress in the city of Togliatti expressed their trust to D.V. Ivanov, the Director General of NOVINTECH, by electing him to the position of the Non-Executive Director.

In April 2008, the Presidium of the Russian National Committee of the International Council on Large Electric Systems (RNC CIGRE) granted admission to NOVINTECH as a member society. Membership in RNC CIGRE gives the Company the opportunity to exchange their experience with electric power specialists in all countries, develop relations and co-operation with international electricity companies, and participate in scientific activities of the Council.

The Company is a member of the Russian Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs. The objective of this non-governmental organization is to consolidate the efforts of industrialists and entrepreneurs aimed at improving the business environment, raise the status of Russian businesses, and to maintain the balance between the interests of society, government and business.

BUSINESS AREAS

Turnkey projects of integrated systems installation at facilities of the Unified National Power Grid as follows:

• Automation (automatic process control systems, data acquisition and transmission systems, process data acquisition and transmission systems);
• Protection (relay protection and automation, emergency control systems with emergency registration functions, fault localization);
• Communication (high frequency communication, optic fiber communication lines, in-plant communication);
• Metering (automated information and measuring system of commercial energy metering, automated systems of technical energy metering, utility metering systems, with electric power quality control functions);
• Monitoring, control and diagnostics of transformer equipment (MCDS);
• Safety and security (fire fighting automation, fire alarm, access control and management etc.);
• Electric power supply (ODCVS, UPSS, auxiliaries boards).

Since the systems APCS and RPA are a kind of integration platform for other substation systems, our qualification and resources are sufficient to provide the clients with the full scope of pre-commissioning works implemented at the site, including works with primary equipment. In other words, we are able to prepare a substation under construction for commissioning. When a developer orders secondary systems, communication, safety and security systems from a comprehensive contractor, it is a good way to optimize the project schedule and expenses, and to ensure the required safety and reliability of facilities at the operation phase.

Full scope of works on APCS assembly, APCS open switchgear at water power plants, integrated APCS at water power plants and chain of WPPs (pumped-storage power plants):

The Company implements turnkey projects, from pre-design surveys and design development up to putting into industrial operation and test production, as well as infrastructure development.

Solutions for grid and hydropower generation facilities implementation are based on the hardware manufactured in Russia and abroad (such as GeneralElectric, Areva, Micronica, Siemens, Ecra, ChEAZ, Bresler hardware for APCS and RPA). Selection of basic hardware for a particular facility depends on the requirements to the solution functionality, the cost of its design and operation, and the history of the facility automation. NOVINTECH is continuously developing its competence in state-of-the-art automation equipment.

Systematic integration and management of smart (active and adaptive) grid installation projects

NOVINTECH is a systematic integrator responsible for the preparation and implementation of comprehensive projects of smart grid elements installation in the Eastern Region:

• General project management: from consulting to putting into operation;
• Provision of interaction between all participants of production and economic cycle: scientific research institutions, designers, equipment manufacturers and suppliers, assembly and adjustment companies;
• Works on engineering solutions adaptation;
• Infrastructure development and detailed elaboration of innovative solutions before their introduction to existing facilities;
• Certification and acceptance of the latest equipment and technologies which currently exist mainly in the form of developmental prototypes;
• Development of recommendations regarding amendments to existing regulatory documentation as well as elaboration of new technical regulations.

Research & Development

NOVINTECH takes continuous effort in studying electric grids and searching for possibilities to enhance their performance. Technical solutions are designed on this basis. R&D subdivision is the Company’s smart human resource which creates innovative concepts and provides the infrastructure essential for technical ideas implementation and preparation for marketing.
